Hey y'all hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing a Holiday Pandoro recipe. In Italian it means golden cake. Some people say it is a cross between a cake and a bread. We think it is more like a sweet bread. But regardless it is delicious!
I made a video showing how I make it. You can find that here.
To a mixing bowl add in 3/4 cup of warm water around 110-155 degrees F and 1 tablespoon of yeast. Let this rest for about 10 minutes until it gets foamy.
Now add in 1/4 cup of honey and 1/4 cup of melted butter.
Then add in 4 egg yolks.
Next add in 3 cups of flour. You may need to adjust this. The dough should not be sticky. Mix this for a few minutes until everything is well incorporated.
Grease the bowl, add the dough and cover the bowl. Let this sit in a warm spot to rise until it is doubled in size.
Once the dough has doubled grease the pans. Traditionally this is made in a star shaped pan but I am using canape pans. You can can use whatever pan you like. Set them in a warm place to rise.
I cook mine in my air fryer convection oven at 300 degrees F for about 30
minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes and take out of the pans and let them
cool a bit longer.
Add whatever toppings you like and Enjoy!
