Easy Healthy Southern Sweet Potato Fries Recipe | Cooking from the Garden

Hey y'all! Hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing how I make my air fryer sweet potato fries.

I made a video showing how I make them. You can find that here.

To start cut a large sweet potato into whatever size fries you like. Place them in a bowl or gallon zip bag for faster clean up.

Now mix up the seasoning blend. To a bowl add in 3 teaspoons of salt and  1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika. The smoked paprika really makes a big difference. Then add in 1/4 teaspoon of cumin powder, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne powder,1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon of breadcrumbs and 1 tablespoon of flour.

Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to
the sweet potatoes and toss until they are evenly coated.

Add in the seasoning
blend and toss until evenly coated.

Add them to the air fryer tray leaving some space so they cook evenly.

In my experience you have to cook sweet potatoes at a
lower temperature until they are soft and then crank up the heat
to get them crispy. In our air fryer they bake at 325 degrees F for
30 minutes and 425 for 4 minutes. (Your baking time may vary
depending on the appliance you are using)

Let them cool and enjoy!
