Easy Vegan Homemade Thanksgiving Tofu | Tofurkey | Maple

Hey y'all! Hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing how I make my easy homemade thanksgiving tofu. This is so easy to make and takes less than 10 minutes.

I made a video showing how I make it. You can find that here.

To start bring 1 1/2 cups of water to a boil.

While that is boiling to a measuring cup add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of bean flour. Our favorite is red lentil but use whatever you like best.

Next add in 1 1/4 teaspoons of poultry seasoning and 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika. If you haven't
tried smoked paprika before I highly suggest it. It is a game changer.

Also add in 3 tablespoons of maple syrup. Mix all of this together until it is well incorporated.

Once the water is boiling add in 3 teaspoons of bullion. Our favorite is better than bullion vegetable base. Mix this in until it has dissolved.

Then while whisking add in the bean mixture to the broth. Turn the heat down to medium so it doesn't burn and get too crazy. Whisk constantly for 5 minutes or until it is very thick and becomes hard to stir.

Grease your mold and pour the tofu into it. I am using a bundt pan but you can find all kinds of fun silicone molds.

Let the tofu come to room temperature and put it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. Use
like any other tofurkey. Reheat in the pan or slice into portion sizes and reheat on a pan (this makes the texture firmer).
