Hey y'all! Hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing how I make my easy homemade stove top stuffing. This is just as easy to make as the box mix and tastes even better.
I made a video showing how I make it. You can find that here.
To start use 6 oz of dehydrated bread cubes. I used my pretzel bun recipe and cut them up into 1 inch cubes. You can use french bread or even sandwich bread. Make sure it is a light airy bread. Then I dehydrated the cubes at 120 degrees F for 4 hours. If you don't have a dehydrator you can always use your oven on a low setting for a few hours.
Now add 1/4 cup of apple juice and 1 1/4 cup of water to a pan.
Also add in 3 tablespoons of craisins.
Then 4 teaspoons of chicken bullion.
As well as 1 teaspoon of poultry seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon of parsley.
Now add 2-3 teaspoons of brown sugar.
Then 1/4 cup of butter.
Mix all of this together and bring it to a boil.
Once it is boiling, take it off the heat, add in the dehydrated bread cubes and coat them well. Let this sit for ten minutes.
After it has set, give it another mix and pour into the serving dish.
