Hey y'all! Hope you are doing well. Today I am sharing how Robert makes his cranberry sauce. This is so much better than canned. Once you make it you won't go back to canned.
I made a video showing how I make it. You can find that here.
Start by dicing the apple into 1/4" x 1" strips. Toss them in lemon juice to prevent browning.
Rinse one full bag of cranberries removing any debris or bad berries.
While the cranberries are draining add water and sugars to the pot.
Bring to a boil for 1-2 minutes until the mixture starts to clear up.
Then add the apples with juice and cranberries. Return to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stirring frequently. The cranberries will start popping in the pan. Don't worry that is normal. After about 15 minutes a few cranberries may not have popped. Help them out by pushing on them with a spoon and they will pop.
Put in a serving dish and put in the fridge to cool. Enjoy!
